In light of the requirements of the recommendations and guidelines of the Ontario Soccer Return to Play that we believe would be difficult on our youngest players and their parents, we have made the painful decision to cancel the U6 and U8 season. Full refunds will be given. An update regarding Return to Play for U10+ is available on our website at www.dramsc.ca.

MUNICIPAL RECREATION DEPARTMENT 2020 SUMMER PROGRAMS: Registration for Summer Camps are now open!... Please register by phone at 613-584-2000 ext. 104 or ext. 103 NOTE: Due to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the Renfrew County District Health Unit, spaces are limited in all summer programs. Preference for registration will be given to families where both parents are working, a parent in a single family household and a Deep River resident. In the event the Provincial government changes the guidelines and we are unable to proceed with the summer camps, all registrants will receive a full refund.

As you've likely heard, our area is part of the Stage 2 reopening that starts this Friday. You may have also surmised that this includes, in some form, a return to play for soccer. We are sure you are anxious to know what all this means. Well, so are we. Ontario Soccer will be providing us with guidelines soon and both the Deep River executive and the Valley United Soccer League executive will be meeting in the next few days to discuss what comes next. So, hold on tight. We'll keep you informed when we know more. We already have permission to be on the pitch, so movement is afoot!

UPDATE: Ontario Soccer has now suspended all sanctioned (non-online) activities through the end of JUNE. We are still accepting registrations for the 2020 Outdoor Season but they are being treated as a waiting list. No payment is due at this time. This allows parents to not need to make a financial commitment during uncertain times while still providing numbers to the club to assist in forming teams.... When and if we have the go-ahead for the season, paid registration will open again. Ontario Soccer is monitoring the situation daily and it is their hope, as well as ours, that the Outdoor Season will still be able to take place in some form. If the season is abandoned, we will issue full refunds. If the season is shortened, we will prorate the fees and issue a partial refund. As definite information is available to us, we will share it. In the meantime, be wise, stay safe and let's all meet on the pitch when this is over.

DRAMSC met tonight and made the following decisions: Registration will continue to remain open. We still do not know when or if the season will start. We will follow the leads of Ontario Soccer and the Ontario government. However, we aim to be prepared for best-case scenarios as well as the worst. If the season is abandoned, full refunds will be issued. If the season is shortened, we will prorate the fees and return the appropriate amount to the registrant.... REGISTRATION and COVID-19 UPDATE At this time, we are still accepting registrations for the 2020 Outdoor Season. Ontario Soccer is monitoring the situation daily and it is their hope, as well as ours, that the Outdoor Season will still be able to take place in some form. The DRAMSC has decided to cancel the late fee period. Fees will not change April 1. Regular rates will be in effect until April 30. However, registering sooner than later will help the club, as well as th...e league, determine what teams are viable when the season does start. As definite information is available to us, we will share it. In the meantime, be wise, stay safe and let's all meet on the pitch when this is over.

DRAMSC will be at the Spring Registration & Information event hosted by the Town of Deep River this Wednesday, March 11 from 6 pm to 8 pm in the library program room. We aren't able to do registrations at that time as the process is all online, but we will be available if you have questions about registering, playing and/or coaching. Volunteers are needed!

The Early Bird registration is now closed and Regular Rates are in effect through March 31. Registrations in April will have a late fee, so don't delay any further! There's lots of room for players and volunteers alike.
