DEAR FRIENDS, SUPPORTERS & WINNIPEG FOOG LOVERS :) As many of you know, one of our Chefs, Emily Butcher has won gold for Winnipeg at Canada’s Great Kitchen Party. It’s our version of the culinary Olympic’s!!!!! Emily will be heading to Ottawa at the end of the month to compete in the Canadian Culinary Championships. The competition is a fundraiser for Canadian Olympic athletes and music + food education for young people, as a result it is up to competitors to fund the majorit...y of their team’s travel, accommodation, food, shipping and equipment costs. And so... On Sunday, January 12th We will be hosting an intimate 12-course dinner with pairings with seatings at 5:30 and 8:30 at Deer + Almond. The theme of the evening is the kitchen god’s wife and will include new approaches to nostalgic dishes from Emily’s Grandmother’s kitchen. Tickets are $250 (including tax and gratuity). Please let me know if you’d like to reserve seats as space is limited. This wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of our suppliers and farmers, our customers, and the amazing Winnipeg culinary community! Please spread the word and invite your friends!
