good afternoon to all the great people of our fine city, This has been a tough year with everything that is going on and I am sure that alot of you are tired of being told to stay home , but think of keeping all of your extended family safe so that we can see them soon. Keep following the rules and we will conquer this too. With all of the christmas markets that have been cancelled due to the restrictions I have decided to do custom orders for anyone that is looking for ...a new wreath [ inside or out] and amatching centerpiece to go with it . Happy thursday to all my friends and family. What a wonderful fall that we are having , the colors around the city are amazing , if you have the time go for a walk or even a drive through some of our parks and take in the beautiful scenery that is happening right now. I took some time and took a drive around our city to see some amazing yards and even seen some really great Halloween scenes that are all set up . There is some really creative people in our city,. On that note ...it is the Thanksgiving weekend and I hope that families have some great plans, please be safe , try to stay within your bubble and enjoy some great home cooked meals and share some thoughts of what you are greatful for and keep your loved ones close . I would like to send out a huge congratulations to a fantastic couple that I had the pleasure of being part of their big day and putting all of the ideas and thoughts about what they were looking for and made them a reality for their wedding. Laken and Nick were so much fun to work with and just 2 of the nicest people that I have met,. The colors were classic black and white satin that was draped across the ceiling , spashes of plum , magenta, shades of green to set it off, ...Guests enjoyed the candy station and had a great dinner for all of the guests followed by cupcakes. There was also a memorial set up for a close friend of the couple that had passed and could not be a part of the celebration. The bride and groom were glowing and could not stop smiling all night as they got to share a wonderful day with all of their friends and family , I wish them all the very best for the start of their new life together, Best wishes always Ken Deering Designs See more

I hope that everyone had a great Labour Day weekend , weather was fantastic and the last time to get away for awhile. I had a wonderful weekend and did a wedding for an absoulutely amazing couple on Saturday at her parents stunning estate in the country. The couple was such a pleasure to deal with and putting their ideas into reality was a joy to make their day as special as it could be during this pandemic we are in right now. Weather was amazing , the bride was stunning an...d the groom was handsome and could not wait to take his brides hand for the ceremony to procede and become husband and wife, I have the fun part of setting up the brides parents beautiful back yard for the late afternoon ceremony and then all the guests joined them in what was a garage , that was completely transformed, for the first dance, dinner , speaches and a night of sharing the joy that was so evident on the new couples faces, . Guests had a great time and enjoyed the evening well into the night , all the while being very concious of the distancing rules that we are all trying to follow. The colors were navy and teal , lots of tones of blue, green and white floral, different designs of centerpiecse that were made by the bride and groom and chandeliers in the garage and the festival tent that was attachd to the garage. Happy tuesday evening everyone, what a few months this has been . Lockdown, staying home, avoiding friends and family, things got real quiet and slowed right down, We got to spend time with our loved ones, reconnected with our spouse, got on the floor and played games with our kids, dug out grandmas cook book and slipped into a simplier way of life and lived on a slower pace, We have been quite lucky here and have had a really low case of the virus due to the fact that we pl...ayed by the rules to keep everyone safe, It is now the summer season of camping, bbq , picnics in the park , camps for the kids and just getting out in the fresh air and we want to see freinds and family in a more normal environment, I am with you , lets stil try to be careful and show other cities that we can make this work and still go on and live our lives and move forward, I want to wish everyone a wonderful Canada Day , however that you decide to celebrate it , Cook your fav dishes, have a family outing, go on a road trip , Lets have an exhilerating weekend and breathe in lots of fresh air and laugh like no one is watching, Wishing all my friends , family and new clients all the best for the start of a new month, Cheers Ken See more

Happy friday to everyone, I want to send out a thought to all of those couples that were planning to get married this year and have had all of your plans chang...ed. I want to let you know that if you would still want to do the legal part of your wedding and keep your date I have an idea. I can set up a special cermony site in your back yard , arrange to have a wedding commisonare to attend { to make it legal} , you can invite 10 of your friends that absolutely have to be there and you can still do your vows, . Then when things get back to normal and we are allowed to have larger gatherings, I can book a venue for you and you can have a party that will raise the roof and invite all of the guests that you originally wanted to share your joy with you, And for you brides when would you get a chance to wear your fantastic dress all over again, be pampered with hair and makeup and get more pics taken. I think this is a solution to bring some happiness to your year , lord knows we all need some of that right nowl.
