Next up is @kat_smit ! Kathryn (she/her) is studying water temperature in coastal water bodies in the Maritimes as a Civil and Resource Engineering student. She is a born and raiser Cape Bretoner, but her favourite place in Halifax is Point Pleasant Park because of all the dogs (big dog fan). In her spare time she loves to hike, check out local food markets, and play guitar! A fun fact about Kathryn is she used to do highland dancing (swipe for proof/enthusiasm for the art)
First up for our introductions is our VP Finance, Anas! Anas (he/him) is a biomedical engineering student and is working on basic science and mathematical modelling of lungs and diseases related to them. He was born and brought up in the Middle East but loves all the hiking grounds in Halifax. His favourite place in Halifax are the public gardens because of their location and beauty. In his spare time, Anas likes to play board and video games and watch shows and anime. A fun fact about Anas - he has a bet bunny named Cashew (swipe for photo)!!
