Please join us in welcoming Holly to the Dekang Medical team! Holly (Hongyu) Zheng worked as a Doctor of Medicine in China, Postdoctorate fellow in the U.S, and is now a registered acupuncturist in Canada. Holly joined Dekang Medical in spring 2019 and focuses mainly on Gynecology, Pediatrics and Cosmetic medicine. Holly was Born into a medical family where her grandfather and parents are respected Chinese Medicine Practitioners who oversaw the operations of their own clinics.... Under their influence and medical guidance, Holly began to learn and practice medical activities since she was a child. Holly was admitted to the Clinical Medicine department of China Medical University in 1988, and after graduating, she stayed with the university to teach for the Pathophysiology department. In 1966, Holly joined the Capital institute of Pediatrics at the Beijing Union Medical College. Holly completed her PhD in Pediatrics in 2002 at the Beijing Union Medical college and continued to work as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the South Florida University. Her areas of research include oncology and cardiovascular health. Following her research endeavors, Holly has decided to put her rich clinical experiences and expertise in multiple medical fields to help those in need. She moved to Canada in 2010 and successfully acquired the acupuncture accreditation from the CTCMPAO. Holly is now able to prescribe a variety of medical treatments depending on her patient’s case. She is able to provide acupuncture, moxibustion, scraping, cupping, pediatric massages and cosmetic beauty treatments to her patients.
