EXCITED to announce I’ve received: LIFETIME MUSIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at the New York World Music Awards 2020! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a PRESTIGIOUS Award! This my SWEETEST and most MEMORABLE award. Earlier in 2020 I was inducted into the AMERICAN ACCORDION HALL OF FAME! My mom is looking down from Heaven proudly and I can just feel the hug from her and her saying Beautiful, Beautiful!... Coming from the small Port City of Prince Rupert, I never in my wildest imagination thought I’d achieve such an honour in my lifetime. My music is a GIFT from GOD, ans something I try and use to further His Kingdom. I’m grateful music is something my parents nurtured. Music is so important to Humanity and part of my destiny is to show how it can help promote PEACE and offer HOPE. Not everyone will become a musician. However, music is always there to listen to. I’m very passionate about teaching accordion (online). I believe God wants me to pass my knowledge of Accordion and music to our youth...the next generation. Music is something which can offer all listeners hope and joy. Music keeps us healthy in body and mind by keeping us centred and calm, and giving us an outlet for our emotions (a song triggers happy or sad memories; makes us smile or cry). So grateful beyond words to Marjorie Lerner for connecting Accordionists around the world with her beautifully illustrated articles and eloquently written articles in Accordion Stars Magazines, and other Books and publications which can be found on LULU.COM (Times Square Press). Her cover pages are colorful and eye catching and capture the essence of each unique artist! Thanks firstly to God, FAMSPA, Marjorie Lerner and everyone at Stars Illustrated Magazine and Times Square Press! Congratulations to all my other musician friends who have been honoured!
