Ever feel like a square peg in a round hole? For me, yes...a lot of the time and especially growing up as a kid. I was dubbed the ‘weird kid’ or just called ‘weirdo’. Later in life when I worked in the corporate world, my style and approach to sales was unconventional and I was not popular with colleagues. Acceptance came by way of clients because I was willing to go the extra mile to help them with their projects...a stronger working relationship resulted in friendship. Othe...r sales reps’ ethos was WIFM and that strategy seemed limiting to me. Today, I embrace me. No label attached. Square Peg in a Round Hole is more than a necklace...it was a design journey of embracing all the perceived negative labels I’ve acquired along the way in my life and creating a beautiful wearable object that isn’t fussy in adornment. It’s a statement about acceptance. For the womxn who wear Square Peg in a Round Hole, they all have come to a place of acceptance. These incredible womxn accept who they are, share their gifts with the world, give back to community and most of all kick-ass with love, compassion and empathy.
