Desperately seeking Zombies! Wait, what? Yup you read that right, I need some volunteers who would be willing to dress up like zombies and haunt the pathway alo...ng the ball diamonds and skate park so that our local kids can have good old fashion scary fun in a safe environment this Halloween. I don’t have all the details fleshed out (lol pun intended) because this can’t happen unless I can get some volunteers on board, I mean it could but it would be pretty lame with just me shuffling around pretending to be a zombie. So, I am going to need 3-4 people to help set up (lining the path with lights and decorations if we can swing it) 20-30 zombies to shuffle around and scare kids (no touchy, just scary), 1-2 people at the start and finish (to provide direction and hand out candy at the end) and 3-4 people to help with the cleanup of lighting and decorations. Donations of candy to give away, paper bags (lunch style) and fake candles for path lighting (or carved pumpkins would be cool too but I don’t want to over ask) and other decorations would be greatly appreciated! I have already got the go ahead from the Village office (thank you Delburne Village) so now I just need the interest of the residents of Delburne and area to make this happen! This isn’t a business or a fundraiser or anything; I just thought it would be fun for our kiddos! If you are interested in helping plan, volunteer, or donate supplies or decorations, please PM me. I know with the closure of our clinic many of you might be starting to feel tight again and may be experiencing pain or discomfort.
