This is so amazing!!
Hey! It’s been a while. Sorry to leave you hanging like that! Well, the snow and cold weather are beginning to sink in here so I’m throwing it back to Fall migration. Reliving the good old days.
We finished off our Fall banding season with 1741 birds banded and 62 different species! Fox Sparrow
Well today was our last day of the Fall season. Our last and only bird of the day was a White-throated Sparrow. Big thanks to all our volunteers and supporters for an awesome season!!
Over the weekend we had the pleasure of participating in the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre Migration Festival! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to learn about Songbird Banding and thanks to Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre for including us! Fox Sparrow

Winter is coming. Dark-eyed Junco
It’s been cold and windy the past few days so here is a highlight from the weekend. We don’t catch these secretive sparrows very often so it was quite a treat! Nelson’s Sparrow
Yesterday’s Birdathon event was awesome! We had birders in 3 provinces! Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. We finished with 101 species seen and a good time had by all! Although we’ve already gone birding, the Birdathon fundraising continues until the end of the year so if you haven’t got your donation in yet, there’s still time! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far, we truly appreciate it, and thank you to our wonderful birders! https://www.canadahelps.org/me/6E9FkCS

We are participating in the Great Canadian Birdathon! On September 12th we are going to try to see as many species as possible while raising funds to help support bird research, including our own! We hope to raise enough funds to support Spring banding next season. Show your support by joining in or you can donate to our cause. Thank you so much! https://www.canadahelps.org/me/6E9FkCS
