Who wants to help pick wild grapes? They are ripe and plentiful this year.

We have sun ripened tomatoes! By the tomato or basket. Make a BLT or your favourite salsa recipe. Never tried preserving tomatoes? Let me know if you’d like stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salsa or sundried tomatoes and I can provide the ingredients and guidance.

How to freeze vegetables for winter you’ll actually want to eat. Boil a pot of lightly salted water. Add a handful of trimmed vegetables. In this case beans and broccoli which only need a few minutes to turn bright green. Remove in batches to a parchment lined cookie sheet and freeze immediately. After an hour the vegetables will be frozen and can be stored in small (with a bit of salt and butter, yum) or large ziplock bag or another container.... They will still look fresh and appetizing in 6 months when we crave vegetables.
