I owe this bathroom A LOT This bathroom was my first major reno and boy did I learn a thing or two I had done lots of design projects before this but none of the magnitude ....a full GUT job So what did I learn? I'm sure you're dying to know (ya right lol) BUT imma tell ya anyways just incase ... ~ mistakes are bound to happen ~ it cost more than I ever imagined ~ its so important to work with amazing, reputable trades @fastidioustileandstone @ethan_efil @tomfairconstruction ~ There are so many moving parts to a renovation ~ the planning phase is SO important ~ I LOVED IT This project solidified my love of design and pushed me to leave my 9-5 job and work towards a fulfilling life helping others make beautiful spaces. I don't know if its coincidence or not but I have a ton of bathroom renovations on the go right now and I cannot wait to help transform these spaces. So here's my shoutout to my very own bathroom that helped me in more ways than one. You got to start somewhere right? Talk about a facelift!!! As promised, I am going to keep revealing our #projectkitchenrefresh. This new view is not getting old, the kitchen looked very tired before and now it's so bright and happy It's amazing what small changes can do. Here's a recap of what was done in this photo...... ~ new paint (everywhere) ~ new counters (Ikea slabs) ~ new & reused hardware (spray painted) ~ new backsplash (installed by moi, provided by @ceramicdecortile) ~ new shelf styling (mostly thrifted, or already had) Once I am done with the whole reveal I will break it all down for ya.....cost, colours, tiles, hardware, accessories, and even mistakes that were made . I may even have a few video tutorials up my sleeve so you...YES YOU can tackle a project like this with confidence. One thing I can tell you is the total cost was minimal but the return is HUGE My good friend and realtor @tyler.dawe.realty is going to go over all the numbers and let us know the value (and #sweatequity) we have added onto our home. Beyond Grateful Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuous love and support. This year has been wild to say the least. I have dreamt of being an entrepreneur and starting my own business for a long time and this year I finally took the leap. There have been many ups and downs, I have made mistakes, not a whole lot of sleep happening, lots of sacrifices BUT at the same time I have met and continue to work with INCREDIBL...E clients, suppliers, and other business owners, I have learned a lot ..fast, and I have tapped into my creativity every. single. day. Now more than ever!!! With another lockdown looming we have no choice but to stay home and make the best of it. I don't know about you but I plan on baking and crafting galore with my kids, getting lots of fresh air, and who knows we may even tackle painting our main floor. I miss hugs, I miss parties, I miss a lot of things BUT I am extremely grateful to have my family healthy and at home.
