Heard others speaking about the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act? Introduced back in November, Bill C-12 aims to achieve a goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. Not only that but last month, the Canadian federal government announced carbon tax will increase from its current $30 per tonne of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to $170 per tonne in 2030 an increase of 566% over 10 years. Ultimately, in order for our country to succeed, energy storage has a big role to play. A key component in the modernisation of Canada's electricity system, energy storage reduces ratepayer costs, improves reliability, and mitigates climate change.
