What if you went away for a weekend? What if you joined a group of others in that weekend? What if you talked, meditated, played, and your thoughts started to drift toward those secluded, guarded memories tucked away in ‘off-limit’ places of your soul? What if the weekend caused you to feel stirrings deep in the ‘never-to-be-touched again’ recesses of yesterday’s stumblings? What if someone saw something in you that you couldn’t see in yourself?... And what if another did the same? And another? And what if what they all saw was what you think you once saw, now carefully hidden away? What if what they saw was something you once loved and had learned to be afraid to love again? And what if that something spoke so loudly it startled you, and you had to notice it, and you started to recognize a growing comfort in it, strangely familiar, from so long ago? And what if you could no longer restrain its yesterday, and it pushed its way into your new today? What if you couldn’t make out the words it used and you could only feel something that you know you needed to hold on to, something that had once given you purpose? What if what you saw was hidden in questions, yet you could feel an awakening of new or remembered passion? Could you shout back a Yes! and fall in love with a shadowy forgotten dream, realizing in it an impish sense of play, of a joyful life, everywhere gaining momentum? I have decided to start sharing a bit of my poetry in this safe space. I always feels risky doing this so if it opens something for you lovely and if not that is ok as well. I think poetry just wants to come out and it doesn't matter what happens after that. This one is on Change The Raven Last night the Raven came by in my dream state. Tonight he flew overhead at a pivitol moment letting me know that life has shifted. I think the Raven knows us, wants for us, guide us. He is... the shapeshifter changing as life washes over and in and out like the waves changing the sand on the beach everyday. Can we be like him, can we emulate him. Are we ok with the changing and ebbing and flowing of the waves and the sand everyday. I think he knows us wants for us, guides us. Can we listen and pray. Can we trust the raven to be a friend and guide our way. See more
