Township 5 km Circuitwalk, run or bike: July 24th to August 7th. Open to all West Hants Regional Municipality residents. Its a great way to get around and get... to know the downtown community. On Instagram and Twitter use the hashtag: #WindsorBlockParty to enter! 1. The walk/run/bike circuit starts at Fort Edward National Historic Site. If you drive there, parking is available. You can stretch and warm up in the parking lot. Then its time to get active. 2. The run begins with the 1 km Fort Edward loop. Please do the loop counter-clockwise, observing provincial COVID-19 rules. 3. After completing the loop, continue down Fort Edward Street. At the bottom, turn right and head along King Street. 4. Turn left onto Water Street, passing Lucky Italiano, Spitfire Arms Alehouse and Winegrunt wine bar. Continue down Water Street, passing Mosaic Market - Health and Local Food & Cafe on your left. 5. Once you reach the end of Water Street, you'll pass the old Stephen & Yeatons buildingfuture home of the James Roué Beverage Company. Run up the Avon Street hill toward the Shand House (Haliburton & Shand House Museums). 6. Turn left on Chestnut Street, and head down the hill into the historic Ferry Hill district. 7. Continue to the end of Chestnut Street, and turn left onto Clifton Avenue. 8. At the five-way stop, turn right onto Albert Street. 9. Continue along Albert Street around the left-hand bend, and pass DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (Lohnes-DeMont). 10. At the end of Albert Street, turn left onto King Street. 11. Youll only be on King Street for about 50 meters before turning left onto Stannus Street. Continue past Victoria Park and the Windsor Community Center on your right. 12. Head down Stannus Street, past the Locker Room Health & Fitness Club, Ltd.. Once you reach the end of Stannus Street, turn right back onto Water Street. 13. Travel along Water Street for about 75 meters, and turn right onto Gerrish Street at Royal Lepage, passing Tatum's Fashions & Bridal. 14. Go to the end of Gerrish Street, and pass the Windsor Community Centre a second time. Turn left at the Y, to head back up King Street toward Fort Edward. 15. Climb the King Street hill until you reach Fort Edward Street. Then turn right on Fort Edward Street for the last stretch up the hill to Fort Edward. 16. When you reach Fort Edward, youve done it. Congratulations! Dont forget to take a selfie anywhere along the route or at Fort Edward.
