I love September to me September is the start of routine and I have been missing routine. This fall I have decided to create some routines around my health. I have always been good at keeping up my exercise making sure to get my heart beating, but food has been a struggle for me. The food I put in my body really affects my health and energy. I recently came across Whole30. What exactly is Whole30, you ask? Good questions: It’s 30 days of self-care and 30 days of ...new, healthy habits. The idea is to eliminate certain processed products for 30 days straight. The point is to flush your system, so when the 30 days are up, you can slowly add different food groups back and get a sense of which ones have been secretly affecting your physical and mental health I love to be in the kitchen and Whole30 allows me to take the time to slow down and cook healthy nutrient dense meals that give me the energy to be the best I can be. When life give you lemons, learn to juggle! As a busy working mom, I struggle like many, to find work work-life balance. It’s pretty much impossible to keep everything together all the time. Balancing work and the rest of your life is no easy task. Here are the steps that I take to keep as many balls as possible from hitting the ground. 1. I try and start my day every day with some sort of physical activity, even a morning walk. This sets the tone for my mood for the day... and helps me be more productive. This is the time I set aside for me. 2. Each morning when I plan my day, I calendar out my scheduled appointments and then I narrow down the important tasks that I need to accomplish that day. 3.
