Our regulatory body (CRDHA) has sent us the new guidelines however, it seems there has been some confusion as to when we can open...the announcement of "dental" opening was referring only to EMERGENT needs. Dental hygiene services are NOT considered emergent. We will update you once we have a concrete opening date and are not taking bookings until that time. We look forward to seeing you all again! IMPORTANT NOTICE To All Our Patients, At approximately noon today, the Alberta Dental Association & College issued a statement advising immediate mandatory suspension of all non-emergency dental treatment and services. All dental providers are required to stop providing non-essential dental care in Alberta now due to COVID-19. We all want to flatten the curve. To All Our Patients, WE ARE OPEN and we come to you! We understand the uncertainty that has surrounded the emerging news about COVID-19 and would like to reassure our patients that their health remains our top priority.... With our clinic being on wheels/mobile and one operatory, you are not exposed to the public unlike a typical office setting. We maintain the strictest controlled environment and our infection control standards are the same as hospital settings and any other dental office. We are very lucky right now to be a mobile clinic in a time like this where we are still able to operate due to our unique set up and virtually no risk of exposure to the general public. Dental Hygiene Express continues to implement universal precautions for infection prevention and control. We are staying up to date with information that is released by AHS as well as following the evidence based guidelines outlined by the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association. We have implemented client screening protocols as well as increased the rate of disinfection of commonly touched surfaces such as cupboard doors, wall surfaces, door knobs, etc. to ensure that we continue to provide the highest standard of care to our valued patients.
