CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS Around the ages of six to eight years, the first teeth start to fall out and the permanent teeth erupt through the gums. By the age of 13 years, most of the permanent teeth, except for the wisdom teeth, should be in. Permanent teeth will not be replaced, so remember:... - Brush at least twice per day and floss once per day - Reduce sugar Intake. Tooth decay is caused by bacteria - that feed on sugar. This forms acid that harms your teeth - Limit snacking - Eat a healthy, balanced diet - Wear a mouthguard to protect your teeth when you are playing sports

Dear Valued and Missed Patients, I sincerely hope that you and your family are keeping safe and healthy during this unprecedented time. Myself and my wonderful team are eagerly anticipating opening our doors and seeing you again. I understand the news is saying that we are back in business, however we are still awaiting guidance from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. Before we can get back to regular dental treatment, we are revamping our practice and protocols to keep ev...eryone, staff and patients, safe from the novel coronavirus. We are currently isolating the operatories to prevent aerosol spread, as this is one way that the virus is transmitted. A new HVAC system with air filtration will be installed to keep the air in our practice clean and fresh. When you see us again, we will most likely be dressed differently, as more personal protective equipment is needed, but we are still the same people underneath! This transition is going to be slow, and it needs to be, as this is a pandemic and our main goal is to keep everyone healthy. Please bear with us as we make these necessary changes. It will take time to learn the best way to schedule our patients, to allow for social distancing and proper cleaning of the operatories. We will call you the day before your next appointment and review what to expect at your appointment, and what you can do to keep yourself and us safe. We are still seeing emergencies, so please call if you are experiencing dental pain, swelling or trauma. I am truly grateful to be your dentist and I cannot wait to see you again!
