Meet the newest member of the Aspire Dental team, Natasha! Natasha graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Dental Hygiene. As someone who is passionate about living an over all healthy life style, she looks forward to being able to educate and share what she's learned in regards to oral health with her patients. In her spare time she enjoys being active including running, cycling and swimming. We are so excited to welcome Dr. Jaclyn Cross back from her maternity leave. She gave birth to her beautiful, healthy baby boy, Henry. During self-isolation through COVID-19, your diet matters just as much as oral hygiene. It is advised by dental professionals to avoid excessive snacking a habit thats all too easy to adopt when dealing with the stress and boredom inherent in self-quarantining. Starchy foods or drinks lead to acid in our mouths, which dissolves tooth surfaces. Resist turning to unhealthy habits to manage your stress and opt for more healthy snacks and drinks instead.

Whether or not you suspect that COVID-19 is present in your home, disinfecting your toothbrush daily is important as it is very sensitive to transmitting viruses. Every time we flush the toilet, we generate an aerosol spray. Try to flush with the lid closed. Keep your floss pics, brushes, and tongue cleaners covered. Soaking them in a mixture of mouthwash and hydrogen peroxide also keeps them safe.
