Tamara and Missy, the Independent Dental Hygienists at Dentures By Denturists, want all of their clients to know that they are "OPEN" to provide all of your dental hygiene needs. As you are aware, on Thursday January 14th, the provincial government issued a second "stay at home order", with the exception of essential businesses, including all Regulated Health Professionals. New protocols have been in place since we re-opened in June and we have the necessary PPE to provid...e a safe environment, as Regulated Health Professionals. Both Missy and Tamara are home town girls and have been practicing Dental Hygiene for 20yrs. For us, sterilization of our rooms and instruments has not changed, as we have been following the infection control measures set out by Public Health Ontario our entire careers. COVID-19 has brought about a few more protocols, such as: over the phone screening prior to appointments, in-office screening including temperature recording, as well as the extra PPE that we as Dental Hygienists are mandated to wear. We are very excited to be working side by side at Dentures By Denturists and feel that we have created the safest environment possible. Our clients can feel safe and confident from the time they arrive for their appointments, during their appointments and while leaving the office. Tamara and Missy just wanted to reassure their clients that behind all of the PPE, are the same friendly faces that all of you have grown to trust over the years. Not only are they happy to be open to see their current clients and taking care of all of their hygiene needs, both Tamara and Missy would love to welcome any new patients looking for dental hygiene care. Our team at Dentures By Denturists just wanted to touch base with all of our patients with an update on the COVID-19 situation within the dental community. We... currently remain closed in compliance with the Governments recommendation. With that said we are still hard at work behind the scenes preparing our office and gathering all of the necessary PPE we need to re-open safely to treat our patients. We are excited to say that both Jaro and Tamara have received Guidelines on Returning to practice from both the College of Denturists and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. Although we are still anxiously awaiting a re-opening date from the Government. But rest assured when we do re-open our office it will be the same safe environment that we have always aimed for. We may be suited up a little differently with a little extra Personal Protective Equipment to ensure your safety, but behind all of that will be the same friendly faces that you have always known and trusted. Our team at Dentures By Denturists wanted to touch base with our community and patients. Unfortunately in efforts to suppress the Covid-19 pandemic the College of Denturists of Ontario has informed us that they are unable to provide us with a return date at this time. Once the State of Emergency in Ontario has been lifted the College of Denturists of Ontario and the Ministry of Health will then resume discussions on when they may let us return to work. We at Dentures by Den...turists continue to watch this situation very closely and will provide an update as soon as we receive one. We appreciate your patience in this unprecedented time. We look forward to returning to the office to continue serving our community that we call home. We will continue to check messages at the office periodically and return phone calls when possible. All of us at Dentures By Denturists are trying to do our part in this unprecedented time. We were honoured to help Hospice Huronia by donating PPE so they can open their doors and support our community. For others that can assist, please consider getting into contact with Hospice Huronia or any other health care providers who also may need PPE. Dentures By Denturists are proud to be hometown supporters.

As of Monday March 16th Dentures By Denturists made the difficult but necessary decision to close the office due to concerns over the COVID 19 pandemic and will provide an update early April on a re-opening date. This includes all Denture and Dental Hygiene services. It came highly recommended by the College of Denturists and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario that we suspend all non-essential dental services immediately. As the majority of the procedures and service...s that we provide here at Dentures By Denturists are mostly non-essential in nature, we feel that this is the best decision for the overall health for our staff, patients and community. This is a socially responsible step to take If you have an appointment in the upcoming weeks, our team will be in touch with you to reschedule.
