Pickering Fire Services is urging residents to pay special attention to icy regions and frozen bodies of water. During the winter months, lakes and local water...courses may not be completely frozen, making them dangerous for residents to skate, walk, play, or ice fish on. Venturing out even on ice that appears thick is extremely hazardous. Staff will be installing safety signs on City-owned property around Frenchman’s Bay, Amos Ponds, and local stormwater ponds. It’s also important to note, that as part of the Province-wide shutdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the limit for outdoor social gatherings is 10 people, and residents must comply with public health advice on physical distancing. Read more: http://bit.ly/3bqKo52 Visit pickering.ca/icesafety for important ice safety tips.

What do you think about this? The City’s proposed Right of Entry By-law would allow a property owner to seek approval from the City to enter an adjoining property in specific situations where property owners requiring access are unsuccessful at negotiating authorization with their neighbours. http://ow.ly/8sgr50BZVjo
