CATA is thrilled to announce that long-time member and volunteer Dr. Glen Bergeron, PhD, CAT(C), has been named the new President of the World Federation of Ath...letic Training and Therapy on September 30 at the 8th WFATT World Congress in Madrid, Spain. "I am looking forward to playing a role in advancing the awareness and promotion of Athletic Training and Therapy globally. This is the first time in the WFATT's short history that the President comes from an organization other than the NATA. I thank the CATA for their support and ongoing commitment on the international stage." Dr. Bergeron is Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health at the University of Winnipeg and Diretcor of the Heads-Up Concussion Institute. He is a long time CATA volunteer, having served on the CATA Board, the executive committee, and chair of CATA's International Relations Committee, among many other roles, and was inducted into CATAs Hall of Fame in 1997 for his already significant contributions to the AT profession and CATA. Congratulations Dr. Bergeron! It is well deserved and we're very proud.
