Hi friends! It's been a while, huh? Life just seems to get in the way of our passions at times, I suppose. Here are a few shots I took on my way down to Elbow in order to pick up some Christmas baking that I'd reserved. The scenery was nice, but the wind was blowing like crazy! I hope this finds all of you happy and well this holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
A few snapshots of some four-legged friends, seen in Outlook, near Strongfield, and down in the village of Elbow.
A story written by my supremely talented coworker Shelley on this photography passion! Feels odd being the subject of an article instead of my usual place in the byline, but I very much appreciate this!
Been a while since I've posted, I know, but here's something to tide you over - I won a photo contest! The Town of Outlook held a competition called 'Take A Shot' on its Facebook page to crown the best and brightest of photos that encompass the local area, with 'likes' counting as votes. I entered 10 of my shots and it turns out that these two respectively took 1st and 2nd place! These photos, along with the ones that placed 3rd, 4th and 5th, will be sent on to another contest held by the Communities in Bloom organization, so we'll see how well any of our shots rank with the rest of the province!
Critter encounters over the past couple of weeks. I've really been trying to capture photos of predators in the province, but they don't make themselves as visible as the plant eaters!
I spent this past Saturday up at Manitou Beach enjoying some sun and taking in the sights. The weather was a bit of a mixed bag; sunny in the afternoon, followed by spurts of random rainfall in the early evening. I found a nice spot to grab my camera and fire off some shots of Little Manitou Lake in between rain showers, in which the sun tried its best to pierce through the clouds. It was my first time in the funky little lakeside town, but it sure won't be my last.
