Derek's Mechanical Services

Hey everyone, Just a quick update to those who follow my page and have work performed here. I'd like to take a minute and sadly inform you all that Derek's Mechanical Services, is currently scaling down and will soon be unavailable.... This is not pandemic related, nor related to the state of the economy, although they are definite catalysts for the decision my family and I have come to make. This means currently and over the next while, we will be focusing on packing up our life in Consort for a new adventure with new challenges in the vast land of the midnight sun, new opportunities, far north and a simpler lifestyle surrounded by trees, mountains and nature. DMS may come back in the future serving a completely new area... However.. packing, moving and renovations will be the number one focus until further notice. I will still be available for the time being for repairs, roadside assistance, and etc, so don't hold off on booking any work you need done, as the window will be closing for new jobs fairly soon. As always, I want to thank everyone for all the support, the great feedback, great reviews, understanding and for spreading the word of our mechanical work. We really take pride in keeping the customer happy! Thanks again, and stay tuned for future posts. One last thing, I'm also working on a group for those that have some mechanical experience and tools, to help guide them through diagnostics, repairs, and more. Updates will be provided in the future on this as I have time to put the group together.

Well it's definitely been interesting times lately with all that's going on, it's definitely stressful but I'm glad I can head out to the garage and work on some projects! Just about have the front end torn down for all new bushings, ball joints, complete steering rebuild including resealing the steering gear and some body work to finish it off (hence the missing fender).

Snow got you down? Call, message or text for snow removal services. Driveways, walk ways, side walks, steps and even decks, whatever you need. I'm also always available for anyone needing a boost, a pull out of the snow or emergency fuel delivery/auto repair/diagnosis. Seniors as well as those with health concerns and/or disabilities are free for snow removal and battery boost services.... Due to the Coronavirus, I will not be allowing anyone I don't know on a personal basis into my shop, additionally to protect you and me as well, any surfaces I touch will be disinfected or rubber gloves will be worn, namely to keep my family healthy and prevent any illnesses from being spread. I realize these are slightly over the top precautions, but the safety of my family, my customers, and myself are number one during this time. Thanks for your understanding!
