At this time of year the bees like to take the easy way to get honey, whether trying to get into the honey house or cleaning up the leftover honey on the wax cappings

Well after a challenging summer it is finally harvest time. Although the bees werent able to gather as much honey this year, it will still keep me busy for quite a while but Im always glad when this sticky season is over.

We had to bring these hives home pretty quickly on Friday to save them from the flooding of Cherry Creek. Theyve settled down nicely and are finding the local dandelions.

Good laying queen, think she would make some nice off spring. Bees are starting to really expand...boy they were busy today.
