Can’t believe it’s already been 3 weeks since my last day at DUHC! In the past several months, I found myself working 6 days a week (sometimes 7!) between multiple clinics (including my private practice), postpartum home visits, and my work with NICU families. Feeling so busy with work is part of why I’ve been quiet on social media. I also came so close to burnout in March. So I decided it was time to scale back. It’s great that I’ve been doing more of the type of work I want... to be doing, with the people I really love working with. So now I am focusing on that - my private practice, work with NICU families, doula work, a day dedicated to home visits, and hopefully some infant massage classes! AND ALSO.. just more time for me. So I can be my best for my clients. . I’m grateful that my practice is shaping in a way I’d hoped it would. . Very excited about everything I learned at the Spinning Babies workshop this past weekend! I now have new tools to help my clients during pregnancy and labour - by creating balance in the pelvis through movement and soft tissue releases. This is especially helpful when babies are in a less than optimal position for birth, and we want to facilitate their movement into an optimal one. Can’t wait to start incorporating these techniques with my prenatal and birth clients! ... Also...how beautiful is this teal Rebozo?! I was lucky to meet the lovely Nadine of Beautiful Beginnings, who was taking the workshop with me, and sells these in many gorgeous colours.
