Happy days ahead, and my heartbeat is smiling A Year ahead of confident, radiant hope. I haven’t posted in well what seems like a life time. It has actually been a wonderful breather not having the pressure of posting every day. It has been helping me be present in all things and I am thankful for that. I decided to hop on because well it is love weekend and also family day weekend. Two of my favourite things. Excited to spend it with my favourite people. The weekend has... started off with a Valentine’s smash, perfectly created by seriously one of my best friends in this world Marcia from @thedessertroom . This lady hands down makes the yummiest, and most fun treats. I am thankful for her and her talent, and for always being a part of our most precious moments. Then we are off to do some skating, tobogganing and all things family. I am one blessed gal to be the momma to two amazing kidlets, and wife to my sweet hubby. What plans do you have this weekend? This was the most perfect day. This was a COVID wedding experience, and honestly I am not mad about it. See the thing is although COVID sucks, it has created some of the most perfect weddings I have ever shot in my 10 year career as a wedding photographer. They are intimidate gatherings of the heart. They are uncomplicated because they are literally about marrying your best friend, no bells, no whistles, just love. That’s the way it should be. I am thankful today for COVID ...(yup I just said that, what a plot twist from my regular programming, hehe) for bringing us back to what matters, and that is the true uninhibited commitment of wanting to do life together, for real. Also, I have to mention these are two of my most favourite people. They have been supporting me through thick and thin, patient, kind and always reminding me to keep going and never look back, for my passion and heart are worth fighting for. Most weddings I document do the whole these are the hands poem. I used to think it was a bit cheesy and overdone, but then I got to thinking...these ARE the hands of your best friend, these ARE the hands that will hold you tight no matter what, and when the world is spinning these ARE the hands that will help it feel a little bit more manageable.
