Was out doing some site measurements yesterday. Way so nice to be out of the office enjoying the sun. I'm starting a new project on Wilson Street just down the road from the custom addition/renovation that I finished plans for last year. On my way I had to check how things were going. They just finished installing the windows last week and are starting the trim for the siding. Its going to look sharp with the black windows and white siding. This is a project that I just completed pricing plans for in Waterdown. I was hired on by their interior designer Jeni Robertson who put some amazing renderings together for their proposed Master Bedroom Suite addition as well as a front porch detail and new rear covered patio. It was interesting learning the limitations of Softplans 3D capabilities vs her Chief Architect software but It was great collorating together. I replicated the look she was going for on the exterior ...with my renderings while sorting out all the Details for the construction plans. I realized things have been so busy that I haven't posted any updates on things I'm working on in quite a while. This project is a second floor addition with an attached garage that I'm currently finishing up the pricing plans for. Well I finally made it out to Eden Mills and wow, it was worth the hour drive. Had to climb one of the piles of dirt to get a nice perspective of the home. Met with Matt from Kingsgate to do a walk through together. Sounded like everything went smooth with the framing which is fantastic because there are some interesting structural details. Received a couple of pictures today from the Eden Mills site. Framing is moving along while they continue to bring in truck load after truck load of dirt to raise the grades. I'll be making my way out to site next week to have a look and do a walk through of the layout. Second floor walls should be completed by then and hopefully the remaining in-fill roof areas.
