Happy 10 Years in Business! Business Partner // . This month marks 10 years in business together. We were married in 2010 and in February 2011 our cousins asked us if we were satisfied with our current entry level positions. We definitely desired more freedom in our lives, more choices to live a life of our dreams and 10 years later after walking through that door that was opened to us we are extremely grateful. Grateful for the people who have come into our life to mentor us not only in business but in marriage as well. I love you Dev and I couldn’t ask for a better business partner. Our new boot room + laundry room// . Swipe to see the before! We lowered the countertop to make it into a bench and painted it black. Now the kids have a space to get their outdoor gear on. Paint makes such a difference and that is essentially all we bought for this space and some hooks. We also flipped the door so it hides the washer and dryer on the opposite wall.

Thought I’d refresh my nails with a look other than paint on them

All of my home makeovers evolved into giving myself a makeover, haha. I was missing having my hair this length so I found some scissors and voila! Devan had to help with the back and my stylist @danaemichelehair will have to fix it up when she’s open again...(sorry Danae ) . I am loving having my hair off my shoulders again though . Would you or have you cut your own hair before!?

When we found this house the interior designer in me couldn’t wait to get my hands on it making each space unique to us. It’s been a dream come true thanks to people we connected with 10 years ago who showed me that instead of designing for other people which was slowly depleting my passion for design they could help me fund my passion through online business. Years later after a lot of hard work our dreams are coming true. . There are so many styles of design I enjoy and app...reciate but I think I’ve come to find out after years of trying to keep up with the trends that my style is lots of white and black with bold colours every once in a while in artwork or in this case wallpaper. . This wallpaper mural is artwork in itself designed by Michelle Morin - Salmon Run Mural. I have always had a love of animals and while I’m waiting for Devan to approve of peacocks for pets I thought covering my powder room walls in colourful animals might fill up my animal love tank temporarily . . My gratitude list of 2020. Instead of a highlight reel I thought I’d reflect on what I am grateful for and what helped make 2020 a wonderful year. . 1. Our Heavenly Father: Thank you for walking with us through every difficulty and success this year, you always provided for us even if it was in different ways than we expected. Thank you for everything . 2. Devan: Thank you for being my rock. In times of uncertainty you hold my hand and tell me everything is going to be ...okay and it always is. Thank you for providing for us and leading me and our business. I love you and respect you . 3. Ella & Parker: This year was the year of Joy and you bring joy to my life every single day. I love watching you play, grow and learn. Our adventures this year were so much more fun because of you . 4. Our families: Although we missed Christmas together we still had so many great memories together throughout the year. I look forward to my phone calls with my mom every few days and our group chats and photo streams have kept all of us connected even when we couldn’t be in person. . 5. Our Business Partners: Each week even when times were uncertain we looked forward to connecting with you even if it was only through zoom. You are a shining light in our life and bring us so much hope for the future. We love you all and cherish your friendship. . 6. Personal Growth: When I am starting to worry or fear I know that picking up a book or listening to an audio almost instantly improves my attitude and work habit. I am also so grateful for the virtual functions this year that helped us move forward in a powerful way. . 7. Business: So grateful for our online business and partnerships. With all that happened in 2020 we were able to continue business as usual and expand it across Canada and the US. . 8. Freedom: Grateful that our business allows me the freedom to stay at home and raise Ella and Parker. From homeschooling adventures to living out my interior design dreams at home I am so grateful for our cousins who showed us another way to live life. . 9.
