Beginning Monday, October 19, visitors and customers to City Hall will be able to access all in-person municipal services through the new Customer Service Centre, located on the ground floor of City Hall, 15 Market Square.

Mayor Darling says permits have been issued for $78 million in new construction so far this year, which, despite COVID-19, exceeds the ten year average.

Huge congratulations to Develop Saint John board member Stephen Kopp of acre architects. The firm has unveiled its shortlisted design for the new Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. It's one of three designs vying for the prestigious build on the Halifax Waterfront! acre for the win!

"According to city officials, there are currently more than 35 building permits being reviewed worth a total of $44 million in construction value. Meanwhile, year-end permit projections have been increased to reflect a potential $100 million of construction value. 'We've definitely seen in the last three months a very strong recovery,' said Amy Poffenroth, the citys deputy commissioner of growth and community development services, at a meeting of council's growth committee."

Street Closure Alert! Construction activities at the Telegraph building will require Grannan Street to be temporarily closed from Canterbury to Prince William from 7:00 am until noon Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Canterbury Street will be open to through traffic during this time, however, there may be a couple of short, intermittent delays on Canterbury as well.
