In light of the new Provincial Health Orders, and in a effort to keep the best interest of our community in the forefront, the Prince Rupert Recreation Complex ...has made the difficult decision to cancel all adult programs for the remainder of the Fall season. These include: Evening Badminton Nifty Fifty Walking Club Noon-Hour Badminton Open Climbing Wall Zumba We are pleased that we can continue to welcome patrons to our public swimming and daytime skating sessions, and we look forward to welcoming you back to more regular programming as soon as we are able.

Sorry folks. This coming Monday's climbing has been cancelled. Stay posted as the Civic reviews the new Covid-19 guidelines to see if the fall session is completely cancelled.

First climb of the season! There are still spaces for both the early and late Monday climbing sessions! Contact the Prinxe Rupert Rec Centre to register.

Calling all climbers! Devil's Crag Climbing wall will reopen on a limited basis starting November 2nd. Please note...registration is required and limited to two 1 hr 20 minute sessions ($52.96) Monday evenings. Also, no regular chalk - only liquid chalk will be allowed. This can be purchased from a variety of manufacturers or you can make your own. See you at the wall!

As of today's date, there have been no announced plans to reopen the Devil's Crag Climbing Wall. As the wall is operated by the Prince Rupert Recreation Department, the Prince Rupert climbing community encourages all interested climbers to contact the department directly to enquire what plans, if any, are in place to reopen.

and in case you miss these...I'm highlighting things you can do at home! No excuses not to come back when this is all over better, stronger and ready to finally send that 10.15!

Looks like we are in for the long haul, folks. With that in mind, here is someplace you CAN go to keep 'climbing'. Great line-up of climbing videos featuring climbers, technique and skills you might want to brush up on! Keep others safe---stay home!

Here it is, folks. The long awaited March schedule. Included are the post basketball open wall hours all of which will once again begin at 7:00 instead of 7:30 for the rest of the season!

In case you are feeling a little climbing deprived already ...here is a little something to get you excited about the upcoming climbing season - its not as far away as you think.

Please note revised Belay course schedule for February. The course is running on the 19th instead of the beginning of the month as originally posted. All Native Basketball will be all next week so no climbing while the tournament is on.

Another (albeit somewhat abbreviated) set is happening this evening! Look for new purples routes next week!

As we head into 2020 just a reminder that the upcoming summer Olympics will be including its first climbing competitions. Here's a look at some of the Canadian athletes and some insight into competitive climbing.

Here's the schedule for January. Belay course is running next Wednesday and there is a planned reset of all Pink and Purple routes mid month.

Just a reminder that this is the last week of climbing at Devil's Crag Wall for 2019. Open Wall is happening Monday (7:00-10:00, and Tuesday/Thursday (7:30 - 10:00) evenings!

Setters were busy over the weekend creating new green and blue routes! Come check them out Monday night! Thanks to all th setters and forerunners who came out Friday and Saturday! Loud shout-out to Dominik and Jonathan for supporting the Friday morning hold removal and Dominik for once again helping out with the power washing in the frigid temps. Thanks guys!
