I UNDERSTAND 7 years ago I made the decision to improve my health. At the time, I hated exercise, I had an extremely unhealthy relationship with food, and I was disappointed with who I was becoming. ... I made the commitment to myself that I was going to change. My hope wasn’t to become a health coach or even fall in love with exercise. I just wanted to feel and look good, be comfortable and confident in my own body, and prove to myself that I had what it takes to change my life. I lost 75lbs, I fell in love with fitness, I built a healthy relationship with food, and I became a certified fitness coach to help other people make the same changes in their own lives. My story with health and fitness is the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. It took hard work, patience, and perseverance, and allowed me to realize the potential I didn’t think I had. I’m not sharing this story with you guys to impress anyone or get a pat on the back. I’m sharing it for those of you who feel ready to commit yourself to big goals that you don’t even know if you can achieve. You absolutely can achieve your goals, even if it feels like it’ll take a lifetime to get there. Be patient, be consistent, and be willing to work your butt off.
