I am pleased to announce that NOMS, LOCAL and the Town of Devon are working together to put on a Community Halloween family craft event and Haunted House on Oct 24th This year it will be a Community effort so if you are a Devon Haunter and you are interested in being apart of this family focused event contact me in messenger. UPDATE! I apparently used the wrong words to describe the craft section of this event. This will be family crafts and games in a covid safe environment. Apparently craft fair means something different. My bad and I apologize for any misunderstanding.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing and the concerns for safety, we regret to inform you there will not be a haunted house this year. There will be something, just no haunted house. Stay Tuned!!!
COVID-19 is going to create an interesting problem with Halloween this year. It will be interesting to see what we come up with.
In case you might have missed it, we made the front page above the fold of the Devon Dispatch and all of page 2. Pretty Kool!
Had a great Hallowe'en. If memory serves me correctly this was our 20th year of producing a haunt and our 17th year of a Haunt in Devon. Thanks to our regular Scaracters, Dave, Doug, Darlene and the Devon Youth Experience we had about 500 people come to the haunt this year. Unfortunately Ivon Krazy was unable to make it to the haunt this year. Some people were creeped out, some scared and some walked away laughing. A good mix of reactions to the family Friendly Haunted house.... Thank you to Winterburn Truss for letting us reuse some of the lumber wrap they recycle every day to make the walls of the haunt. Thank you to all those who helped decorate the haunt. To all those that got a free NOMS pin, remember these are a limited edition pin and a collectors item. Tear down starts at 1:00 pm Saturday Nov 2 if anyone is interested in helping pull the haunt down and put it away. See more
Nightmare on Michigan Street is at the old Robina Baker School.
We will be starting the build at the 1949 RBES building on Oct 19. We can always use a few volunteer extra hands to help put up the haunt as it is built from scratch each time. if you are interested in helping out please PM me.
The haunt will be back at the same location as last year in the Old Robina Baker school with the Devon Youth Experience.
A walk through of the haunted house that we presented with the Devon Youth Experience.
