Had the #electriceyeapparel beer goggles on early this morning loading the deck for galvanizing . This wind is wicked. @ DEWAR Industries Ltd.
TBT to ol potato phones 11 years ago, this was one of those jobs where the pay wasn’t all that great but had lots of work and build some cool stuff. Draw works for a Heli-Rig.
Welders always have different vision for phat stacks. I love that I don’t have to pin onto a trailer to go pick up a couple tons of steel. #weld #welding #welder #weldaholics #weldingrig #weldeverydamnday #fabrication #bluecollar #tradesman #millerwelders #kodiaktrucks #duramax #workingclass #canada #manitoba #winnipeg #selkirkmb @ DEWAR Industries Ltd.
Finally broke out the @lowesindustries NewEra 950 and fits like a glove, if you want to check out some cool shit, give him a follow and see what he has going on.
Just our usual Friday, finishing up as the sun is gone. Well maybe an early Friday since the shop lights never go out. Short haul down the back roads for this ice fishing shack skid and the off to @ericleefrantz to get that power bill down and get the boiler on the pad. @ DEWAR Industries Ltd.

Finishing up the services on these beauties. Case 160 and 135, they were worked late and we were on site finishing them up. Full filter servicing, greasing, fluid change outs. We do it.
Well since it’s harvest and jobs are piling up. We’ve got our good friend Matt out giving us a hand, if anything our quality has taken ANOTHER step up as this guy KILLS it and is a TIG wizard. So if you see someone else driving the Kodiak or under a piece of equipment at the shop, he’s part of the crew. Thank you to all our customers, the new and the ones that keep coming back.
We also do maintenance on equipment. Construction or agricultural, we do it. After hours or weekends, we can set it up so you don’t have to be down when your guys should be completing projects. Tried everything possible before resorting to the punch through the filter, had to use a 2ft bottle jack handle on it to get it to budge. Don’t know if the filter wasn’t lubed or overtightened, but it was a first for me.
Some skid steers have a hard life, owner thought it was only the first picture where it was cracked out. Then I started looking. Cracks EVERYWHERE!!! Grind out all the cracks and weld up.
Had this ol beast rolled onto the yard and well these holes and cylinder ears have seen better days. So cut off the old pieces on the scraper and ears on the cylinders, having the machine shop, machine new ears with bushings. Weld on and send it back out for when harvest is done.
Haven’t been doing too much posting because it’s been a lot of 5am mornings and showing back up at the yard at 10pm. We’ve been hard at it, here’s a 3x5 aluminum tilt quad trailer we’re doing. Axles are good for 1250 lbs a piece, custom made to you hitch height with removable sides.
One of the Degelman Pro-till 40’s that we’re doing, just came off of warranty. 4 years old and sees 12,000 acres a year. Gouge all of the cracks out, clean up with a carbide burr and then weld up. While trailing out the weld in front of the gusset to give it extra support. This one will be ready to go Tuesday and we have another lined up for Wednesday.
We’ve had lots of trailers here recently. From electrical, hydraulics, tilt decks, you name it, we service it. The little dump trailer was quite the mess and need quite the overhaul. The battery wasn’t charging, wires to the trailer brakes were worn through from rubbing, needed a tire, blown hydraulic hoses, light not working. I think that’s it. So we put a new plug on it(tested and found out the truck doesn’t have any output through the prongs to charge the battery). Added s...ome length to the trailer brake wires, soldered them together and added waterproof heat shrink. Had some new hydraulic hoses made up, we also wrapped the lines in key spots to keep the abrasion of rocks and the trailer frame from cutting through it. Greased all the wheel bearings and tilt hinges. Hooked up a light that had come loose, cleaning the prongs and adding dielectric grease. Torqued down the tires on it and I believe that was it fit the little dump trailer. Onto the almost brand new tilt deck on warranty. So out of all the trailers I see this one is built pretty good with very good powder coat. There’s one place they skipped out on it which is very detrimental to a tilt deck trailer. They skipped out on the hinge. The zerk fitting was a press fit, anyone who knows grease nipples is that they seize up from time to time and just replace. Not the case with a press fit zerk. So that being the case it seized up and the welded hinge seized up as well. Cut out, replace with a hinge we built, added a bit more tolerance and grease passages. Welded it back up, added on a couple more D Rings for the boys and it’s back to work.
Swiss Alpine killing it again, if you haven’t gone over to their page and checked them out. Should probably head on over and give them a like.
Making our fire pit liners look good
Got some unwelcome guests on your property? Want to make them feel a bit uneasy about coming on it? Want to make sure your neighbours know that you have a screw loose? Or maybe the whole bolt bin of unpredictability?! We want to grab attention with these layered signs. Made of 10 gauge steel these things are solid. Hell if you want bulletproof, we’ll get them cut out of AR500 and you can bounce the warning shots right off of them!!! These are powder coated so after years of the sun beating on them and our frigid winters putting the freeze on, they are going to still look new. You dream it, we build it.
You want fancy custom one offs?! We do that, you want something for your gothic stairwell in your house, we’ll do whatever tickles your fancy.
We had to run out on short notice to go help family in Alberta pack and ship out to the other side of the country. But that doesn’t mean we stop fabbing, it’s what we love. Running in some rock rings for the boys of PL Customz at 10pm so they weren’t there all night, and could focus on the powder. But we’re back in Manitoba and catching up on the jobs that piled up. Kicking stuff out the door as fast as we can.
3 foot fire pits or nothing. Swiss Alpine Landscaping Ltd is going to make this Raw steel fire pit liner and grating look real good with some Barkman Stone on their latest build.
Got a late afternoon call out after the lug that lifts the drill out of the ground broke off. Fabbed up a new lug, cut out for the new one and welded it back up. Ready to go all night long.
Our installation’s put us a step ahead of everyone else. Even if we have to pull the mirrors off the truck to get into a tight openings, we’ll do it. Not your average hammer drill, smash in your wedge locks and roll out. These were hollow blocks, so lay out the holes. Move the ladder over, drill, put sleeves in, fill with Hilti HIT-HY 270 and let set. Move the ladder and fasten it down. That Hiab knuckle boom sure saves the back.
