Looking at the latest numbers, January continues the seller's market seen in 2020. With a smaller housing supply, our team personally witnessed multiple offers from south of the Fraser River to as far as the Sunshine Coast. We expect to see more of the same in the upcoming months since mortgage interest rates are at a 100-year-low and home prices are rising an average of nearly $8,000 per month. 2020 is proving to be a very interesting year for the Vancouver housing market. The month isn't over yet, but trends indicate December 2020 will outperform December 2019's sales. Now, the bigger question on everyone's mind is "by how much?"

After receiving some great inquiries, we'll be sharing her answers over the coming months. Our first topic; paint colours to sell your home. Louisa recommends sticking with neutral colours since they ensure your space is bright and inviting. A soft white is the most appealing to the majority of people, but light greys and taupes are also good choices. You want to stay away from any bold colours and wallpapers because they become easily dated. A white canvas is always easier for people to envision their furniture in versus colours and/or patterns that are harder to match.
