Skiing amongst the giant Western Red Cedars. Many of these trees were seedlings when construction began on the Tower of Pisa in 1173. The trees are still standing up straight!

Nice ski tour today in the McGregor Range. Pippi ruins the photo. Bonnie finds a rare, ( in these parts anyway), Whitebark Pine.

Last night at Dezaiko. As if it’s not bad enough I got radio collared and ear tagged. Now I get photographed by a trail camera outside Dezaiko Lodge! No privacy for a Mountain Caribou.

On our hike out of Dezaiko yesterday we wondered what this commotion was all about until our dog Pippi actually pointed out these mountain caribou to us. She sat and stared at them until we finally noticed them. A nice looking bull with his harem of 7 or 8 cow/calves.

Went from lovely fall hike to winter hike on our last trip into Dezaiko for the season
