Do you practice gratitude? There have been many scientific studies that prove gratitude is important for our health and well being It’s really easy to look back and wish we could’ve done something different or look ahead and plan out our future. But these thoughts can leave us feeling depressed, upset or anxious... This is your reminder to stop, look around, and be grateful for all the things you have in this very moment. Here are some simple things to be grateful for I am grateful for my body I am grateful for my breath I am grateful for my mind I am grateful for clean water I am grateful for a hot shower I am grateful for my bed I am grateful for my car I am grateful for my job I am grateful for food I am grateful for love Practicing gratitude brings me back to the present moment. I notice everything I have and suddenly a sense of calm takes over. So instead of getting lost in all the things you don’t have, bask in the glory of all the things you do have. Practice gratitude everyday, change you perspective, calm your mind and become mindful of the present moment. It’s totally free and If science says it’s good well then what are you waiting for? Repeat after me... I AM GRATEFUL #grateful #thankful #practicegratitude #lookingback #lookingforward #depressed #anxious #lotstobegratfulfor #thepresentmoment #mybody #mybreath #mymind #cleanwater #mybed #whatdoyouhaverightnow #asenseofalm #itsfree #science #iamgrateful #fallingforfall See more

You are a spiritual being Wether you believe it or not. You have an energy that others can sense. You are a vibration inside a human body. We are all connected to every living thing on earth, the sun, moon and stars. We are floating in space this very moment. ... As spiritual person, I do not practice any specific religion although I’ve studied and practiced Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and currently I’m studying Shamanism. I do not call myself religious. I respect and believe that there are similarities and beauty in most religious beliefs but I will not lock myself into one belief system. My body is my temple. It’s the only place I find peace. When I listen to my body, I hear myself, my soul, my heart. I have all the answers I need to move forward or reflect and change my perception. I believe the gateway to spirituality is through the body. In my upcoming program we will explore our body and spirit through mindful movement, massage, breath work and understanding our energy system. Whose ready the raise their vibration with me??? What’s your body’s story? Have you ever heard someone say that their old injury has come back to haunt them? Well, Its true! Old untreated injuries will come back to say hello and it usually happens when you’ve been ignoring your body and you haven’t been taking care of yourself. Every BODY has a hiSTORY and It’s begins before birth. Your body has physical memory of your experiences, good and bad. Even though our mind forgets about our old injuries that does not mean the... body has forgotten it as well. One question I always ask my clients is what kind of injuries, surgeries, or traumas have you had? This Question is key for me to find what is going on in someone’s body. I believe we should all be asking our body this question as soon as it starts to feel painful or uncomfortable. This will give you the answers as to why it feels the way it does especially if you live in chronic pain. In my up coming program we will be exploring our old injuries, surgeries, and traumas. When we know our own physical history we have a better understanding of how we really feel and why our body feels that way. We will learn to listen to our physical sensations, trusting our body and building a healthy relationship with ourselves. What’s your old injury that likes to say hi once in a while? Have you heard of CranioSacral Therapy(CST)? I’ve mentioned CST in other posts but I feel as though most people are still unaware of what it is and how it can benefit your body. With gentle pressure, you get out of the head and into your body becoming aware of restrictions like scar tissue, chronic pain, past surgeries, old injuries and traumas. Creating space for body to finally release whatever its been holding onto. Some people feel as if they are floating and t...hey’re completely relaxed yet aware of where they are. best of all, you can keep your clothes on. Simply put, we have another rhythm in the body. Just like the way our heart beats and our lungs breathe. CST is tapping into and feeling the flow of our cerebral spinal fluid in our spine. This fluid pumps up to the head and down toward the tailbone, thus lubricating our central nervous system which is interconnected and felt throughout our whole body. As this fluid pumps up and down the spine, our body has a slight closing and opening, just like a flower opening during the day and closing at night. We can all feel this rhythm if we hold very still. It feels like a gentle rocking or pulsing throughout our body. CST has changed my practice, my body and my life. As someone who has suffered from a lot of physical trauma. CST helped my body release, restricted connective tissue, reduce my headaches and migraines, and realign my body. Want to know more?? Let’s talk about pain I’ve had my share of injuries and yes they have come back to haunt me. Growing up as a competitive gymnast I’ve fallen on my head, got whiplash(a few times), split the beam(more than once), hyperextended my knee, broke my foot, dislocated some ribs and my jaw all before I was 16 years old. By the time I was 20 I secretly lived in chronic pain. I took pills everyday to manage aches, pains, headaches and migraines. Western doctors told me ther...e was nothing they could do for me but prescribe meds and do more tests. I was completely disconnected from my body. I didn’t know what to do with myself or my body anymore. Eventually, I had severe stomach pain every time I took my medications. I took muscle relaxants, ant-inflammatories and painkillers daily. My digestion didn’t work so well, my mood was all over the place and I had developed a stomach ulcer. I knew there was an answer out there but I had no idea where to look. A friend suggested massage therapy. In 2007, after my first massage ever, my pain subsided and I finally felt connected to my body again. I had to know more about this magical body work, so I began studying massage therapy a few month later. After graduating, I stepped into a whole new world. I started working and experimenting with alternative and holistic therapies like acupuncture, chiropractic, naturopathic medicine and my personal favourite CranioSacral therapy. I changed my diet, I studied yoga and began a spiritual practice. My body began to feel better and the pain, headaches and migraines happened a lot less frequently. Taking mediation is now a rare occasion for me. The only reason my body changed for the better was because I started to focus on it, I listened, I reconnected, I communicated, I massaged it and I studied the anatomy of the body. Then the most incredible thing happed... my body aligned, rebalanced, and the pain went disappeared. Now my body and I are best friends again What do you do for pain management?? See more
