From Jason Fudge, President of DF Barnes. Good afternoon everyone, As most of you know, there was a terrible tragedy in Clarenville on Christmas Day that claimed the life of a 10 year old boy.... In a shocking online exchange, a person who falsely claims to be a Superintendent at DF Barnes, made numerous posts to the CBC Facebook page that viciously attacked the family of the young victim. This man is not a Superintendent or an employee at DF Barnes and never has been. He has posted false information on his Facebook page regarding his employment status with our company. This behavior contradicts everything we believe in as a company. I feel terrible that this person has chosen to attack a family in mourning when what they really need is love and support from our community. We will be reaching out to boy's family to to offer our sincere condolences directly and any support we can offer. Thanks to everyone who alerted us to this shocking online activity.
