Ode to a coaches commitment I ask myself why. Why do I want to be a coach/ consultant or confidante ? I always come back to one thing, love. Love for humanity, Love for relationships everywhere to work and love for humans to live their greatest and best version of themselves. We as coaches / consultants and confidantes get to experience transformation of lives right in front of our eyes. I have had and continue to have the support of the most powerful, loving, giving peopl...e in the world. They offer me the unconditional space to ensure I get connected and be fully present to what my purpose in life is. To be used up. Fully used up for the goodness of humanity. Currently I am guiding a couple with a small baby go from finding an exit strategy in their marriage and constantly arguing and ready to call it quits. They now are looking at each other newly and are rediscovering romance. This is now giving their young daughter a place to grow up with love and affinity. Also. I had one conversation from a mother who is dealing with her relationship with her son who is trying to recover from an addiction. He screamed. He swore. He threatened for 20 mins. And I let me have the space and just listened. Then i said STOP and asked him one question which changed the conversation. What are you passionate about ? Writing science fiction he said. Then for the rest of the time this young man shared his writings with me. So vivid so beautiful such a true expression of himself. This was the first time he ever shared his writing with anyone. And he was excited about life. He was not his addiction. He was not his demons. He was just him wholly. Truly. 100 percent him. In that conversation I helped create a new relationship with a mother and son. This is just a couple of people I have had the gift of supporting and guiding. Why do I do what is do ? I do it because everyone matters to me. I get to put my self aside on a moment by moment basis. So people get to have me fully present to them and only them. I get to be the space for them to create an authored life, one they get to design. I get to be the conduit for them to see what is possible for their lives. That’s the true gift. My life is not perfect. My relationships are not perfect. My communication is not perfect. I am perfectly imperfect I am ok with that and with my commitment to humanity and my love , I get to transform one person at a time until love shines everywhere. No one gets to live a small life around me and that includes me. When I feel small or not good enough I have an army ready to lift me up and keep me connected to what’s out here not what’s in my head. That’s what we as coaches / consultants and confidantes do. We stand for you and your life and what’s possible. I may not know you and you may not know me but my heart is love for you. My gift to you is my unconditional love for you and your life.
