DHVI Downhole Video & Intervention

DHVI was called out to investigate a casing tight spot within the horizontal section that an operator could not pass through while milling out bridge plugs post plug and perf frack operations. The Capture C3 caliper and camera combo tool string was live streamed to the operator’s office in real-time where it was quickly determined the problem was an ovalized casing restriction from within a pipe deformation causing the tight spot. Pipe integrity was confirmed with both the ca...liper and camera data showing only light mill marks at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions within the oval casing areas giving the operator confidence to continue with milling operations with the correct mill size for the restriction. DHVI were called to assist with the positioning of drill pipe to inspect a cavern opening and identify a possible fish, Once the camera exited the tubing to carry out observations, additional strings of pipe were identified and positions noted using our highside indicator. One such pipe sitting to the side and three stacked together. As the camera continued it easily pushed through debris in the hole without issue. A stopping point was reached at what appeared to be a salt bu...ild up blocking the entrance into the cavern.
