This year has seen an uptick of commercial cargo theft across Canada. In response, the kind people at Northbridge Insurance have created this alert, along with a list of tips to help commercial clients keep their loads out of fraudulent hands.

Their recent article about current trends in auto theft contained a lot of interesting information, including this list of Top 10 Stolen Vehicles, as well as this useful tip from Bryan Gast of the Insurance Bureau of Canada regarding key fobs: "One thing we are suggesting is key fob protective pouches or boxes...you put your key fob there, as opposed to putting it in a bowl inside your front door where it's susceptible to so...mebody intercepting that radio frequency. They can't access that radio frequency to be able to steal that information from your key fob to be able to start your car.
