A little brain teasing for you classical musicians.
Just beautiful. Not an easy song to keep the line sustained. Well done.
Ooh, what a gorgeous sound! Liquid gold for the ears.
Love this young lady's voice and musical talent, it's wonderful to be able to work with her every week.
When delivering groceries turns into an event!
Such a talented musician and budding singer. Beautiful and uplifting, thanks Carole Evans.
This has been an interesting week - new students in Australia and Tunisia. Hope I can visit.
Heres an uplifting recording by singer Timon Incze. Great guy, great voice and fun to work with. https://soundcloud.com//the-menzingers-kentucky-gentleman-
This is from one of my students, Carole, who seems to be enjoying her new found voice! Not sure if Harry is thanking you today Diana Sharp...I am now able to sing along with Joni Mitchell...Dire Straits...to name a few...hour after hour...enjoying it so much. No sore throat from straining. Thank you so much for the singing lessons.
Relax and breathe. Heres our very own Jessica Simpson doing all the vocals on this beautiful track. Gorgeous. https://youtu.be/qd_57f-Ouv8
For all you classical music lovers and sight readers, try this one!
Well, well, this could be a good sing along!
Yeah! First week of successful online lessons done, although I do miss seeing each and every one of my students in the studio, its worked surprisingly well! If youd like to try out a free online singing lesson to boost your mood in these strange, cooped up times and see what its all about just get in touch!
Ok singers, we can do this globally! Great tune, great guy, great opportunity to get involved!
Great way to keep music live in these strange times!
Thanks Carole Evans for this. We had a great time! I had my first singing lesson early this morning before work with the darling Diana Lloyd ! It was wonderful!!! I loved that her first question to me was..."what is your goal in coming here today?" She quickly learning that I do NOT want to join a band! I do NOT want to sing in a choir or in public. I simply want to be able to sing without straining my vocal chords and improve my breathing so that I can just sit down at the piano and sing along and enjoy it! I really like that she explained the scientific "why's" to the whole method. She made it so enjoyable! I figure if Neil Young & Bob Dylan can sing...well so can I . Thank you thank you Diana!!
Crazy! What a voice(s)!
Ooh, this is neat.
Some oldies in this quiz and lots of fun!
For those sight reading choristers out there. Merry Christmas!
This is brilliant, creative and well sung! A little politically incorrect in places, but it was done in the 90s and is still ingenious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fe11OlMiz8&feature=share
This is a great way to kick off the holiday season! It's going to be gorgeous.
Live local music for a Sunday afternoon!
Info nights coming up for this fantastic choir.
Ottawa friends, here's a wonderful concert coming up!
This is a fantastic group and choir in Ottawa. If you're a teen interested in singing, you couldn't go wrong joining Cantiamo.
Like this idea. I'm always tempted to try an acoustic out with a few notes (like a church, conference room, stairwell, public washroom), much to the embarrassment of my kids and strange looks from everyone else. Apparently I have no shame. Now I just need a choir for the full effect.
Great choir, so much fun while inspiring and empowering. 10-18 years old.
Love this lady even more.
Jessica (fellow singing teacher) is having a recital on May 12th. Great Mother's Day gift!
Ok fellow music nerds, here's a little fun.
What can I say? Singing, it's clearly good for you.
Happy New Year Singers! I've sat down with fellow teacher Jessica and we've got some exciting performance plans for the New Year. We'll keep you posted as dates get sorted.
Some good basic info here on song writing. If it looks a little daunting, have no fear, we can check it out in a lesson.
