I have a feel for this now. Acrylic underpainting is done, and now I'm on to oils starting with the trees. Fun stuff to come later.
The joy and spontaneity of not having a clue.

More to come as I search for more paint. It's hard to come by.
Pics from my last of two classes with the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre: Balls Falls Church with a Starry Night theme. (Sorry, no photos of the outdoor class in August.) I've enjoyed meeting so many friendly and talented people over the years but I have decided to retire from paint events with the exception of a few home spring classes with my leftover canvasses in 2021. (Pandemic permitting.) What fun I've had in both Durham and Niagara Regions over the years!
TBT This is an illustration I did in my early years of one of many family garage sales. I am in the picture with a few neighbours and relatives.
My last Paint Event! It's been a blast over the years but I have a few dust covered art projects that are calling in my semi retirement.
TBT Myself with Whitby historian Brian Winters in front of my mural on Dr. Robert Thornton Public school's 50th Anniversary.
It's high time I changed my cover photo. This is a little painting that always finds a home in my living room. I had a short stint as a meter reader and was impressed by the view of the little house set back between the two barns. I returned with a camera to take some pictures. The location is Jordan, Ont.
Wildfarm.... Continued.
Drawing the other half of a barn from imagination. When I'm not being lazy I've been quite busy with my Wildfarm sketches. (Post is coming soon.)
My Wildfarm story continued......sketches and text are mostly drafts. When I get it all to my liking, I hope to publish it one day with other drawings, paintings and quotes on the same theme. In the meantime it's fun amusement, and I'm happy to share.
TBT: Watercolour painting of a special family member, done in 1996. I rarely do portraits let alone babies... So difficult... (ie, Doing the artwork, not the child.)
Story time! (These little excerpts won't stay up on my page permanently but I'll share the progress as I go.)
