Daylight Savings time is this coming weekend at 2am on Sunday March 12th. We will SPRING forward. YAY ! sleep in! ? If you are worried about how your baby will respond to the time change, here are a few things you can keep in mind: - 7pm is the old 6pm, so you might have a slight struggle at bedtime - that being said, try to be as consistent as possible keeping the old times for naps and bed - you may want to have a 7:30pm bedtime for a few days if you think the 1 hour will ...be too much to adjust to - you can start shifting a few days before by 15 minutes. If you choose to do this, make sure to shift naps and bedtime. - if you have an early riser and daylight savings does not help, there might be another factor causing this early rising. DiaperDreamers is happy to help your family get more sleep. See more

AWAKE TRAINING FOR MOMMIES: Dear Fellow Babies, OK, here’s my situation. My Mommy has had me for almost 5 months. The first few months were great I cried, she picked me up and fed me, anytime, around the clock. Then something happened. Over the last few weeks, she has been trying to STTN (sleep thru the night). At first, I thought it was just a phase, but it is only getting worse....Continue reading

People are often asking questions regarding sleep and sleep environment. Blackout blinds make a huge difference. I noticed that huge difference this past weekend. As a sleep consultant, I've always made sure my daughters room is dark. This past weekend, we were away and staying somewhere that I knew would be bright so I brought the gro anywhere blinds with me. They didn't stick properly to the window and fell down during the night. My daughter woke up at 5:50am ready to start her day!! I have not seen my daughter before 7:45am in TWO YEARS! We moved her to a darker room for the next two nights of the trip and she woke up at her usual time. It was a great little experiment! So just a tip for anyone struggling with sleep out there, although there are many other pieces to the sleeping puzzle, make sure the room is DARK :-)

Did you know that co sleeping is recommended for the first six months? Co sleeping is a term that refers to a baby sleeping in the same room as their mother. Many parents end up bed sharing and then find the transition back to the crib challenging. Contact DiaperDreamers for tips on transition!
