I went through some of my pictures from Nova Scotia. I have a lot, and not all of them I consider good anymore. But they all represent a time in my life that I appreciate. They all represent what I felt about a beautiful part of Canada that I recommend all of you visit in the new tomorrow.

The most epic first kiss I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. These two just melt my heart

I got hang out with a bunch cool humans a few weeks ago, where we wandered Uptown and had fun taking pics of each other and whatever else piqued our interest. The group is aptly called Shoot Your Friends. That day reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place all those years ago-the sheer joy of photography. It's been awhile since I shot with no purpose, no objective, no goals...it was just a girl and her camera. And it was a GREAT day. The lovely Ange Clayfield and host of my first Shoot Your Friends event, is a lovely human and I look forward to hanging out in the future. I have many more to share...but there's so many, I'm gonna write a blog post. So stay tuned for more!

Trying new things is what makes life amazing, and terrifying...because what if you hate it? BUT what if you LOVE it? So begins my journey with boudoir photography. I photographed some friends and close acquatainces...even myself. I wasn't sure what it'd be like to take images of someone in a potentially, more vulberable state. Turns out, I had so much fun, my friends had fun and told me they've never felt more sure in their own bodies before while in a state of minimal clothi...ng (besides with their partners). And that, that is what I loved about my beginning endeavour in boudoir photography. So, on this journey of trying new things, I am hosting a boudoir marathon on January 20, in a beautiful loft, with lots of natural light, privacy for my clients while being photographed and lots of space for pro make up and false lashes to be applied by the lovely Linda at Blush makeup & eyelash artistry. So I’ve decided to take a weekly self portrait. There are no rules and the points don’t matter. (Anyone catch that reference...anyone???)
