Hi everyone, we have to split the classes for a couple more weeks. Groups will remain the same as last week. Group 1 - 4:15 to 5:00 pm - Pre & CanSkate Group 2 - 5:15 to 6:00 pm - Pre & CanSkate... Group 3 - 6:15-7:45 pm - StarSkate We need to stick to our new rules in order to keep our club open. Several other clubs in NS have closed down with the new restrictions already. We are trying very hard to make sure this doesn’t happen. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time. We want to maintain a safe skating program for our children while still abiding by provincial guidelines. This may mean we need a bit more patience in between skate times as we ensure we don’t go over our number of people allowed in the building. This may include you and your child having to wait a minute or two before coming in to the building to get your skates on. This is part of why we have 15 minute gaps in between.

Info for Friday Star Skaters effected by tonight’s reduction in ice time: Incase anyone missed the post, tonight’s Star Skate time slot has been reduced from 5:30pm-7:00pm to 6:00pm-7:00pm. We were hoping this would be a one time deal and restrictions would ease for the following weeks. It seems now like this may unfortunately last for a few weeks more. We are currently working with Digby Area Recreation Committee to find a better solution that works for all skaters to accom...modate for this this. We will keep you posted! As for this week, all Friday Star Skaters effected by the reduction in ice time tonight January 8th are invited to attend Sunday January 10th’s Star Skate Session to make up for it. The time runs from 9:50am-11:20am. Rules will still be in place, no spectators allowed, only 1 parent per skater allowed in to tie and untie skates before and after the skate session. Masks must be worn at all times unless on the ice. Sign in and sanitize at the door on the way in. Thank you

Coach Bella has asked me to remind ALL Star Skaters to please bring their skate folders with them tonight! They should be brought in with them each week and skate session. Thank you!

For this Friday, Jan 8th, only (as of right now) we have had to adjust our skating times and split our CanSkate Group into two groups in order to follow the new guidelines put out by the Province and Skate Canada that only allow for 25 on the ice at one time. Spectator rules have changed at the moment as well and in order to keep our children skating we need to follow them, one parent will be allowed in to put your child(ren)'s skates on and get them on the ice. Once on the... ice parents are asked to go to their cars for the duration of the lesson and come back in when children are getting off the ice. We realize this is not our norm but it will hopefully just be for this week. We want to be able to keep our children skating! We encourage parents to stay in their cars on the premises, we also have everyone's contact info at every lesson. The following are the lists, we have done our best to accommodate families.
