'Twas the night before Coronavirus 'Twas the night before Coronavirus, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.... Latex gloves were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that the virus would never be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of cancelled school danced in their heads. Mama sneezed in her elbow and I donned my mask, after consuming more than we should have from a flask. When out on the street there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash. The flashing red lights on the new-fallen snow, gave the lustre of neon to objects below, when, what to my bleary eyes should appear, but an ambulance pulled by eight tiny reindeer. A big burly driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment that someone was sick. More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came, and he whistled and shouted and called them by name: "Now Coughing! Now Hacking! Now Headache and Sneezing! On, Fainting! On, Dizzy! On, Feverish and Wheezing! Get off your porch! To the hospital halls! Now Quarantine! Quarantine! Quarantine all!" 2020 has been quite a year! None of us could have predicted this year's events. It has been a year of uncertainties and challenges to say the least but also a time we’ve seen people pull together for the greater good of society here in Eastern Canada and around the entire world! Whether you were celebrating in person or remotely, we hope that you enjoyed the holidays with your family and are looking forward to the year ahead and took time to reflect on all of the things we h...ave to be grateful for. Unfortunately we have not been able to do our annual holiday visit to your office to express our thanks and provide you with a holiday gift. In lieu this year we have made a donation to Feed Nova Scotia. They distribute almost 2 million kilograms of donated food to their member network of 140 food banks and meal programs across the province to families that are food insecure. As 2020 draws to a close, we’d like to express our gratitude for your continued partnership and trust! Despite the challenges of 2020, together we have done great work and are excited about making 2021 even better!
