Happy New Year everyone. We all know that 2020 has not been a great year for many things. Thankfully it didn't stop me from getting out to those isolated locations in the mountains. Like this one below! Goatview Peak is a common sight in the valley, but where you get that perspective from matters! While I was perched on snowy edge across the valley admiring Mount Rundle, Goatview decided to give me a show as well. It was quite an afternoon over the Town of Banff.

While across the valley, overlooking the Town of Banff, I couldnt help but notice a soft light illuminating the back of the famous Mount Rundle. The clouds and suspended snow streaming off the icy cornices that were dancing in the strong winds at the summit were just incredible to look at. It was time to get the big 600mm lens and tripod out. Precariously set up on the deep snowy edge of my view point, I set up. Almost instantly the light exploded on the back of Mount Rundle.....this was the result. I sincerely hope you enjoy this photo.

The count down to Christmas is on! I'm not sure I'll have any more images for you all until then, so I thought this one would serve as my "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to you all. What more fitting than finding the big guy himself wandering around Banff National Park under the looming walls of Mount Rundle. Have a great Holiday season everyone!
