Winners are looking at their goals every day. And they do it deliberately, self-assessing, monitoring and they move forward with discipline and goal clarity. If this seems too stressful and overwhelming for you, you'll need an accountability partner.

The ones that can see the solution in the midst of a challenge will also lead others to a better place.

2020 has taught and sometimes forced us to re-direct our paths, priorities and values. We are ask to be creative, innovative and forward thinking all the time to make our businesses resilient and lasting. Let me suggest to you that boredom is a true opportunity to be innovative and creative. Boredom gives you space (if you allow it) that can be filled with endless new potentials. Less phone = more ideas. DS

Athletes all over the world are either planning, preparing or already executing their talents and hard work; some of them are aiming for #Tokyo. Today's post is from my conversations with Werner Goldmann and John Powell over the years. The combined wisdom (below) from two of the best is worth to apply. (For coaches and athletes alike.)

If you read this you know that sleep and recovery is important. Do you get 60 hrs of sleep per week? Naps do count as well as it is accumulated 60 hrs.

Can I share this with you? I had an important conference call yesterday. The other party and I, we had three 'hot' topics to discuss. When I say hot, I mean they were business related relevant and vital. I had my list of priorities: 1, 2 and 3. The other party began with the #3 but I knew that it would bring the conversation to a possible halt, maybe a complete derail. I asked the party to please start with my #1 and the rest of the conversation went very well. I finished with a follow-up email and summarized the progress. I was prepared and in a cohesive state when I picked up the phone and dialed. I was focused. I was calm and balanced. A great way to lead through a difficult conversation. #focus #difficultconversation #vitaltools
