Masks have become part of our daily lives ; however, they do present accessibility challenges to many individuals. People on the autism spectrum may have senso...ry challenges; deaf or hearing impaired people may struggle without the ability to lip read; people with diverse physical abilities might not be able to put a mask on. Yes, masks do help us slow the spread of COVID-19, but we ask that people act with kindness and understanding towards those not wearing masks. Not all accessibility needs can be seen. You can learn more about mask accommodation and other accessibility resources for COVID here linktr.ee/autismbc #AutismBC #DisabilityAllianceBC #Accessibility #Masks #GovBC #VanCity #BritishColumbia
