La peintre, dessinatrice et graveuse Francine Simonin a succombé à un cancer, vendredi à Montréal, à l’âge de 84 ans. Toute l'équipe du FIMAV et des Disques VICTO offrent à la famille et aux ami.e.s de cette grande artiste leurs plus sincères sympathies. Une de ses oeuvres se retrouve sur la pochette de l'album VICTO cd 09 Dix Improvisations - Victoriaville 1989 , une compilation des performances improvisées de Ladonna Smith, Davey Williams, Hans Reichel, JD Parran, Ned R...othenberg, Paul Plimley, Lisle Ellis, New Winds, Maggie Nicols, Lindsay Cooper et Irene Schweizer. Painter Francine Simonin died of cancer on Friday in Montreal at the age of 84. The entire FIMAV and Disques VICTO team send their condolences to the family and friends of this great artist.
